Inspired by the works of Lee Krasner.
Lee Krasner (1908-1984) was featured in the Denver Art Museum's exhibit, Women of Abstract Expressionism.
I highly recommend the movie "Pollack," which chronicles the discovery and promotion of Lee Krasner's own Abstract Expressionist work, as well as her marriage to Jackson Pollock.
“It’s too bad women’s liberation didn’t occur 30 years earlier in my life,” Lee Krasner told Artforum in 1973. “I couldn’t run out and do a one-woman job on the sexist aspects of the art world, continue my painting, and stay in the role I was in as Mrs. Pollock.”
